A lost sparkle
by Leticia Cifuentes
The sparkle fled as her eyes wide open intensively looked at her chest.
No movement;
And time stood still,
As her childhood fled.
And with her loss;
Hand in Hand-
Sparkle and hope fled.
Time stopped as her love's chest stood still...
She held her breath while the sparkle fled.
-------------------------------------------------
It was hard to get her off the counter...
She kept telling me that her grandma wasn't gone...
That her chest was going to go "up and down" soon she said.
She is going to breathe soon mama (she said) most difficult day!
